The scheme was founded in 1971 and has grown steadily since then. It is based around the Postgraduate Medical Centre of the York Hospital, and the hospital jobs are either at the York Hospital, or, in the case of Psychiatry, at the adjacent Bootham Park Hospital. » Beech Tree Surgery, Selby
Award-winning, purpose-built premises completed in January 1993 form the centre of the Practice, with two dispensing Branch Surgeries, at the villages of Carlton and Riccall.The total Practice area covered is more than 120 square miles, with a population of 15,800 patients for 8 Partners and salaried doctors; a total of around 10 whole time equivalent doctors in 2016.

» Derwent Practice, Malton
Derwent Practice, in the market town of Malton, is a mixed practice serving 20000 patients in the town and adjacent villages. The town is large enough to give a flavour of urban practice but with low deprivation scores and the rural hinterland covers a number of picturesque villages and a few stately homes. It’s an easy journey to Malton by road or rail.
