This is another large practice with a list size of 20,500 patients, working from four separate premises, although the GP Registrar only works from two. The 13 doctors cover a mixture of urban and rural areas, encompassing an area of over 80 square miles. A small part of the Practice is dispensing. The main centre is the Haxby Health Centre, which houses a large compliment of ancillary and attached staff.

Both David Hayward and Peter Smith take a GP Registrar alternately.
Individual doctors in the Practice have their own areas of expertise such as spinal manipulation, dermatology and paediatric developmental assessment. The GP Registrar is able to benefit from this.
The Practice is fully computerised. All surgeries are linked to the main computer at the Haxby Health Centre and all record-keeping is electronic, with no written records since 1991.
The on call rota is with North Yorkshire Emergency Doctors accompanying the trainer, which involved 1 session every 10 days.
