Thompson & Shona Gilleghan - Priory Medical Group, York This large group practice of 16 partners serves a population of 35,000 patients. The partners work from six separate premises all over urban York. The Heworth Green branch is where the GP Registrar will spend the majority of his/her time with one of the three GP Trainers. Philippa Ashley Clifton Health Centre, York There are just over 5,100 patients in the practice, the majority living in the local area of Clifton Moor and with others in the surrounding villages of Shipton, Skelton and Overton. There are three partners - Stuart Calder, the current Course Organiser, Philippa Ashley, the nominated trainer and David Geddes. Sarah Butlin Escrick Surgery This rural practice is based in the pretty village of Escrick, which is 5 miles south of York and covers an area from Fulford in York to Barlby, Selby and from the river Ouse to the river Derwent. The older premises close to Clifford’s Tower are expected to be replaced by a modern purpose-built surgery nearby within the next two years.
